In a groundbreaking development, passengers will soon have the opportunity to fly nonstop from the UK to Mauritius on a daily basis, providing access to an idyllic island with pristine white beaches and crystal-clear azure waters. This change comes as Air Mauritius relocates its operations from London Heathrow.
On June 26, in celebration of the commencement of daily nonstop flights from London Gatwick Airport to Mauritius, Air Mauritius partnered with the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority to host a Networking Gala Evening at London’s JW Marriott Grosvenor House on June 22, 2023.
Air Mauritius, the primary airline of Mauritius, is set to mark a significant milestone as it reaches its 50th year of operations in the UK. This remarkable occasion will coincide with the airline’s transition from its previous base at London Heathrow Airport to London Gatwick Airport, scheduled for October 29, 2023.
Air Mauritius will operate flights according to the following schedules (please note that these schedules are subject to change):
- Flight MK 042 from Mauritius (MRU) to London Gatwick (LGW) will be available daily from Monday to Sunday, departing at 23:05 and arriving at 07:00.
- Flight MK 053 from London Gatwick (LGW) to Mauritius (MRU) will also be available daily from Monday to Sunday, departing at 15:55 and arriving at 07:15.
